As two men exited a Morgantown convenience store on September 19th, an unlikely hero foiled their heist. 33 year-old Phil Wiseman witnessed the men heading towards the door and crouched out of sight as they approached. As they exited Wiseman rose to swing his guitar at them, knocking out the first man and sending the second to the ground where Wiseman restrained him until police arrived. Wiseman stated, "If I did nothing, they could harm someone else. I'm glad my guitar still works." Afterward, Wiseman played the guitar for bystanders. Both men have been identified by authorities and are awaiting trial. Wiseman has new fans from the convenience store.
